Katie - Guanacaste, Costa Rica (2.5 weeks over 2024-25 Holidays)
Charlie did an outstanding job taking care of both my cat and my apartment while I was away in the US for the holidays. From the start, he was extremely organized and thorough, ensuring his arrival and plans were seamless. Throughout the two and a half weeks, he provided frequent updates, which gave me peace of mind. Not only did Charlie take excellent care of my cat, but he also went above and beyond by helping with small tasks that I hadn’t requested but deeply appreciated. Upon my return, I found my home in better condition than when I left—truly impressive! Charlie is a kind, respectful individual, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone. I would absolutely have him again in the future.
To whom it may concern:
Charlie Boyer has been our house sitter for two years now, and has stayed in our home on three occasions.
He has never been anything other than friendly, professional and flexible. We are gone for extended times, three months over the summer and a month over Christmas, and we never worry about our house or animals while we are gone.
We tend to not plan very far ahead, and Charlie is always happily accommodating of our changes of plans. He has cared for a variety of animals, including cats, birds and hermit crabs. He is very attentive to our house, leaving it better than when he found it. There's always a nice little surprise, a new plant or nicely edged sidewalks to look forward to. He also completely managed our airbnb studio over the summer, talking to and booking guests, helping with their needs and cleaning between stays. He is easy to reach, proactively sending pictures of important mail, or updates on pets. There is never any concern or worry while we are away. I am able to feel completely confident that everything is handled.
I would never think of asking anyone other than Charlie to house sit, and I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone. Please feel free to call for a personal reference.

Over the past three years Charlie has filled in for my pet and house-sitting needs multiple times while I have been away for work and family reasons.
He has shown himself to be a very responsible person in every aspect of pet and house care. Not only does he follow instructions and keep me informed, the ‘kids’ are happy to be in his company. Even the house has been cleaner upon my return than when I left!
Along with being flexible with scheduling, an important factor for me has been that he is not ‘on vacation’ while on assignment and gone from the property and dogs for lengthy periods during the day.
There has never been an issue or problem that arose while my home and family have been in his care, and if one ever arose, I am sure he would handle it in the best possible manner.

For anyone considering Charlie Boyer for house or pet sitting:
Charlie has stayed in my home on many occasions when I have had to go out of town. He took good care of my home and even more importantly he took very good care of my pets. I never had to worry that my two indoor cats would escape. They were fat and happy when I returned and everything was in good order. He is reliable, honest, neat/clean and low maintenance. I highly recommend him if you need a dependable and trustworthy person to pet or house sit.
